Things were going smoothly until I did the final assembly. When the camera came to me, the LVS system was all messed up, and the shutter was jammed. On opening it up, I found the control arm for the apertures was bent due to some brute force applied to the Cross-Couple Ring by a pair of pliers. Everything went back together nicely, with the shutter and self timer working fine. But the LVS control just didn't work right. After going over my photos, it looks like I may have not got the shutter click-stop back in its proper position, and that probably cause the control rings failure. I'll have to go back in, and reset everything. Would hate to relegate such a rare camera to being a shelf queen. Link at the end to all the photos and videos on Flickr with narrative, and annotation. So you're not going to surrender that easily, are you...? I'm not into nostalgic glorification of things past, but I admire this attitude of yours as much as I loathe the throw-away mentality in our contemporary world of products. Michael

So you're not going to surrender that easily, are you...? Never surrender! Run the other way, maybe, but no surrender! I even got some of that Mobius oil to anoint that cranky Agfa shutter that's been kicking my butt. PF
