No one here will be surprised to hear that an Ebay lens described as 'very good condition' turned out to be anything but...
I bought an Auto Yashikor 135mm f2.8 out of curiosity, described as above with a number of photos some of which showed the interior of the lens but in poor definition. When it arrived, it looked good on the outside but when I looked through it, this horror appeared:
I wrote to the seller advising him about the fungus and he has written back 'I don't agree it is fungus, but rather dust...' Wow! How do you educate someone on the difference between dust and fungus?
It's a real pity as the lens is in pretty good condition otherwise; those light scratches on the front (see image below) are barely visible under normal light, the aperture works fine and focusing is smooooth... I think I'll keep it and try cleaning it although it may be beyond hope as the glass may be etched.

If they would sell a lens that looked like that, of course they are going to say it's only dust. Start a complaint file with eBay, and get your money back.

I agree with ridgeblue99. Ebay has a money back guarantee so I would def start a complaint. It's disgraceful what some people are trying to foist off as excellent when it's infact rubbish.

Well, I thought I'd practice my lens dismantling skills and see if I can clean it up - it's cheaper than the cost of return postage...
The elements are out, the Pond's cold cream is attacking the fungus on the glass and I should know pretty soon if the lens is salvageable...

It is dust, made up mostly of dead fungus. Except for the living dust.

I'm happy to report that the cleaning is finished and the lens is now working. It's not that great at f2.8 but by f5.6, it is a pretty decent performer right across the image. I've not bothered to expose it to extreme lighting conditions but I have been pleasantly surprised by the lack of chroma problems thus far.

It's not that hard really. You barely need any tools and the only ability you'll ever need is not losing tiny objects immediately
