You guys are a terrible influence. I have a ML 28mm 2.8 on the way. Unsure of serial number, but condition from the pictures looked very good to excellent and looked like a newer model. It only cost me $25. We shall see how it performs.

You Yashica guys really love your lenses. This is another deal where the item hasn't been shipped so I won't be getting it.

cbass ... Sorry to hear you've found yourself in the same boat again. If ebay hasn't been kind to you, I'd suggest keeping an eye on a few sites that deal in used gear - and - they're reputable dealers that will normally give you a warranty that you'd never get from any ebay seller. The shortest might be at least 30 days, all the way up to 180 days for KEH and Roberts. KEH can be a tad pricier than you'd expect if you only compare their prices to some ebay deals, but they really know their gear and under-promise on condition, so you're likely to get better than you'd expect. Roberts Camera has a site devoted to used gear, under usedphotopro.com . They're close to KEH in most respects, and they turn over a lot of gear on a regular basis. Both Adorama and B&H Photo have used gear departments. Both may be a bit high at times, but again, they've been dealers for a long time and know their gear and are always more than descriptive about what they sell. If you're on the far side of the pond (i.e., in the UK) then MWClassic always has some great vintage gear. Usually not too much in the Japanese realm, but they're worth browsing. Shipping can be high, but their prices are usually pretty good. There's also some of the more traditional places, like Jack's Camera in Indiana, or Henry's in Canada. They're brick and mortar camera shops that do a lot online. Almost all of them will also offer a generous return policy too, so if you get it, try it, and don't like it... they'll take it back as long as you pay return shipping. Most of them buy gear and/or take trade-ins, so if you've got something to sell, they may be be willing to take it off your hands. Although there's not any warranties offered and it's not even close to being a camera dealer, there's another auction site that I'll guarantee won't fail to ship you anything you win... shopgoodwill.com They've recently updated their site and the only 2 negatives about their auction setup is that there's no running countdown timer if you tend to be an auction 'sniper', and they rarely know the true working condition of items unless it's from larger cities like Seattle, L.A., or San Francisco.

For some reason I am just having a string of bad luck lately. Hopefully things will soon make a turn for the better.
Thank you for the list of camera shops. I have shopped at Roberts Camera before (UsedPhotoPro) and have been very happy with the price of the items as well as the condition and shipping. I didn't know about Jack's Camera and a few other places you listed so I will check them out.
