With the 35-70 3.5 arrived today i can happily say that is my dream ML Zoom set. If i will find "somehow" the 100-300 i will easily complete all ML Zooms. 28-85 and 35-105 are on the way, and i try to get at good price the last missing ones, the 35-70 3,5-4.8 and the bizarre 28-210. Almost done....almost.

That is a very nice set of lenses but I would caution you against wasting any money on the 28-210 which by common consent is the worst lens (made by Cosina) to carry the Yashica ML badge.

If I got Dragos right, Graham, the 28-210 is among the zooms that Dragos already owns. And if I'm not mistaken, he once even showed some test shots with this lens that were surprisingly detailed and sharp, as far as I recollect. Edit: Just found it! yashica.boards.net/thread/316/ml-28-210mm-rapid-test

I have to admit that it was the first positive review that I'd seen which begs the question as to whether the efficacy of the lens comes down to Cosina's dubious reputation back then for quality control. The copy that dragos has is an excellent lens - I'll wait until I need a new paper-weight before I buy one just in case it's another bad copy. If I can find a good one, it would be a real pleasure to own as it covers a pretty useful focal range.

If you want I can send mine to you, in order to test it. Thank you very much for the kind offer. Fortunately, I've found a Vivitar 28-210 f3.5-5.6 which was also made by Cosina and is identical to the Yashica lens for 11 Euros so I'm good to go....

That lens has to go in the 3th party department here. :-)

Sory, my question regardın nr of blades was about Vivitar 28-210 f3.5-5.6 It's the same like Yashica ML 28-210/3.5-5.6 lens, also with 8 blades. Made by Cosina.
