Just added a few more Yashica Flash units plus 2 new tests.
These Yashica flash guns are to be avoided if using directly with any digital cameras: CS-20 at 205.6v and MS-20DX at 216v!
I hope to test an old flash that is completely new to me in a few weeks time, a member of Yashica's Quick Lite series.

Hi - I just received the items below and the P-25 Quick Lite is completely new to me.
It's a well made piece of kit that comes with its own, separate right-angled bracket to allow the flash to be used in the horizontal plane. It uses 4 AA batteries but has a very high trigger voltage so is completely unsuitable for direct attachment to any digital cameras. Each set of batteries will only provide 30 flashes.

I was very lucky to find this flash in its original packaging.

This flash was unknown to me until a few days ago so I grabbed it off Ebay.
CS-220W SUPER
It has the rare benefit among Yashica flash units of a 360 degree swivel as well as a tilting head making it one of the more versatile in their range. I have published its trigger voltage (8.6v) in our master list which still has a few gaps. I have not as yet been able to determine its specifications, other than to assume it has a GN of 22 and is capable of being used with wide-angle lenses. Unlike the larger, and presumably more powerful, CS-250AF this carries no serial number.

Curiosity led me to a for-sale page in Thai, and a quick translation says that you're assumption seems to be right... that it's a GN 22 flash. Since most of the pages popping up in searches seemed to be from somewhere in the Indonesian market, I'm wondering if this model might be one that was in limited release for sales in only select countries. I don't recall seeing one in the US - but then - I've not been searching for it either. I notice in a few online pics there's only 2 contact pins on the foot, so it might not work in TTL mode on the newer 'MM' Contax bodies, or the Yashica AF bodies - but that's only a guess. I couldn't locate a manual in any of the usual places to look.

Hi lumiworx,
Like you, I spotted the Thai ad though it is less than helpful.
Our friend Yashicasailorboy at Flickr has found another for sale that is boxed with a manual but again in SE Asia - unfortunately my PC can't access the ad without my consenting to Yahoo's demand to place lots of cookies 'to give me a better advertising experience' so I'll have to pass on getting detailed specs for it. The CS-220W Super looks quite space-age when placed next to the original CS-220...
I'm hoping to get hold of another Yashica flash I'd not heard of next week, unless someone outbids me; fingers crossed and hopefully another trigger voltage to check...

The 220W looks exactly like the CS-240, but no way of knowing if they might be identical except for their guide numbers. Odd that if the 220 is a GN 22, and the 240 is a GN 24... why would they produce 2 flashes that were that close of a match in their output levels? I came across another early 'hammer head' flash to add to the list... a Yashica Pro 100. It uses AA batteries plus an AC connector on the head (like the Vivitar 283 has). My guess is that it's from the 1960's. BTW: If you want to view pages without having a cookie following you for an eternity, use an 'incognito' window on Chrome - CTRL+Shift+N - and use it to open any site(s) you want to visit. Once you close the window, it deletes any trace of cookies, trackers, etc., permanently. For FireFox, use CTRL+Shift+P, to do the same. I assume the other browsers have something similar.

OK - this CS-204 Auto flash had eluded me until now. It's the first in the CS- series to have a tilting head.
CS-204 Auto
Its trigger voltage (10.6v) has been added to the list.
