Won a CC today, with the ERC. Hard to tell from the photos exactly what shape it is in (Goodwill uses their fine art photographers to give them that "coming down shakes" look). But it went cheaper than I thought it would because they mislabeled it as a GSN, with a tiny thumbnail shot. That more than makes up for the bellows and slide duplicator set I missed bidding on. Don't know how long it will be before they ship it either, because they give themselves five business days to do so, and even then they like to stretch that out. Then add in the five to seven days it will spend in a UPS truck getting here. Oh well, I've wanted one for years, so a few more days waiting won't hurt.

Is unbelievable camera. I had it and I still regret that I sold it. I will look for another one, CC or CCN one. Has a unique rangefinder, darker than usual rangefinders. For street or close portrait is superior to any other rf. I think as a Yashica lover, the must of the must from the panoply are the 3 unique rangefinders, Lynx 14, CC and the half 14, another little monster.

Yeah, I'd like a Half 14, Dragos. The Samurai X3.0 is kind of geeky to use.

I would add the GX to that must-have list. Lovely camera, not too big, and not too small. I just don't get along with the CC, and I can't really explain why. I get good results from it, and I love the 35mm focal length, but I had a roll of film in mine for almost a year that I finally finished today. I wish that the shutter speed was one step faster, I guess.

The GX I've had for some time now, I just don't shoot it enough. It's just a bit too big to shove in a jacket pocket while heading out the door. And I figure if I could like the Paxette that Ron gave me, then the CC ought to be just right. We'll see.

It arrived a couple of days ago. Sporting a 35mm 1:1.8 Color-Yashinon DX lens in a compact body with a Copal electronically controlled shutter, it’s just a little smaller than the Electro-35 GX, and a little bigger than my Nikon P7700. Aperture priority always, with Over and Under warning lights in the viewfinder. Due to its size, they are not duplicated on the top like with the larger models. I shot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 that was just slightly out of date. Exposures were good, with just minor adjustments for highlights, and sky detail. The camera functions fine, and its only fault is someone almost wrecked the battery cover, but it still works. Evening light photos to bring out the contrast.
