I’m a 59 year old man like the rest of you have a passion for photography. I bought my first 35mm camera almost 40 years ago a Yashica TL Electro. It was my constant companion in my travels. But after I started to have problems with the shutter I made a mistake I’ll regret forever I gave the camera and my screw mount lenses away when I move here from Michigan. I own Canon and Nikon but the Yashica was my favorite. I’ve just bought a Yashica Electro 35 Rangefinder and look forward to using it. I maybe asking for advice with my addition to my photography equipment so forgive me if I ask too much..

Welcome to the forum, Blair. We like questions here. Ask away. And be sure to post some of your photos from that Electro in the gallery.

Welcome to the Forum, Blair. Questions answered is what we're all about. No matter which rangefinder model you have, if it's in good working condition, it should bring you plenty of pleasure.

Welcome to the forum, Blair. You don't have to regret anything, especially for some equipment. There is plenty of time to catch up and a lot of cameras to be saved

That is a good choice, but you will need an adapter.

Both too short, and lacking in girth.

I use the smaller battery with the adapter, but mainly because I have other cameras that use the same battery.
