Hello everybody, I'm a Yashica & Contax fan. In 1985, my father bought our first reflex, Yashica FX-3 Super with 50 1.9 ml (of course still perfectly working).
After buying a digital dslr Nikon 4 years ago, i came back to shoot in analog. I update my collection with other models Yashica/Contax and some lens.
all models are functioning except contax 139, know magnet problem. Random shutter button don’t shot and the loading lever it’s locked.

Your collection is just so much fun to look at. The original Yashica has many comrades now for reinforcement.
I do film, often with a Yashica GSN model, for the high resolution scans available from shops with the Noritsu scanner. (And I have worked with digital more lately for the sake of controlling the color for faithfulness and linear contrast. I am frustrated, though, over the theory of exposure for digital pictures. With the goal of linear contrast, it is necessary to expose for the highlights, whereas the meter recommends exposure for the shadows. This recommendation is just fine for shooting negative film, but causes overexposure by as much as two stops for digital cameras with linear contrast.)

Welcome to the forum, and I must say you have a fine start on your collection there. I've yet to add a Contax, but have the first and last Yashica SLR models, with a few others in between.

true, I've the same problem with digital. recently I sold Nikon D5100 and buy canon 600D, only to use Y/C lenses with adaptor .

I hope to expand collection, recently added a FX-D SE. I'd like Contax 159 and S2 (but too expansive); an Yashica FX-1 and FX-2. last but not least, Yashica FX-A and ML 55 1.2, but I believe that it will remain a dream

Hello docyashi - delighted to have another new contributor to this Forum.
You have the beginnings of a very fine collection - I particularly like the fact that you have a Contax 137MA as part of it. It is a superb camera and your FR1 is also one of my favourites - it shares the same Sugaya shutter as the Contax RTS, though detuned to 1:1000.
FX-A cameras pop up from time to time (mostly in Germany and the USA) and the ML 55 1.2 is often for sale and is about 3600 Euros cheaper than my Zeiss Planar 55 1.2 - and a lot easier to carry! There are many 159 bodies around - it was not a popular camera when launched as the first production run had a few problems; Kyocera sorted them all out but it damaged its reputation and it is only in recent years that it has begun to develop a bit of a fan base. The S2 is a great camera (a turbo version of the FX-3 Super on steroids!) but the spot metering is limiting so I sold mine in favour of the S2b which has average metering.
Keep on dreaming - buying superb Yashica and Contax gear is becoming more affordable; you may well be lucky with your wish-list one day soon!

@ ridgeblue99
really true
@ biggles3 thanks for reply. the 137MA work fine, specially exposure (I tested all my corps with Sekonic 308) but due to dishonest seller, there are 2 scratches on focusing screen. I have to buy another one well maintained. FR1 is beautiful, the shoot is really soft (instead the FX series with metal shutter), and incredible, the counter work. I see your FX-A, the mirror is strange...don't have the diagonal split with collar micro prism? I did not know that the 159 had problems, perhaps I should not buy it. thanks for suggest. 2 days I saw on ebay a 55 1.2, but not perfect. zeiss 55 1.2? OMG, I see on ebay at 10.500€
