One of the stranger lenses from the 1970s was the Ohnar 300mm f5.6-f16 Mirror lens; it also appeared under the Hanimex brand. It came in a wide variety of mounts, including the C/Y bayonet fitting. I've heard of a 500mm CAT like this -- also sold by Ohnar. I know that Ohnar sold a 300mm f5.6 (FIXED) CAT that was sold under a half-dozen other brand names -- so this is no surprise. Another point is that most mirror lenses I have seen have a T-mount. I'd say 90% -- including the Ohnar 300mm FIXED CAT -- unless they are made by the OEM. Some of the Sigma's are an exception, but their early ones had a T-mount.
Maybe the 500mm and 300mm variable CATs are T-mount, and there is just a problem in "translation" -- meaning they can fit on Nikon, Canon, C/Y, Minolta, etc.
That's how I got my Vivitar 800mm f11 Solid CAT -- the seller listed it as a lens for Nikon. No takers, except me -- all I did was swap the T-mount.

xkaes the slitter-man right? will use them one day MB 2023 deeply.
Sigma 500/4 two versions 15 and 7m T-Mount has a donut like lens-cap with door. removed it will serve as ND 5.6-lens.
heavy but on Contax AX AF possible. The same possible for Vivitar 600/8 CAT thanks to Catadioptic construction AF beyond F5.6. i tested in low light at nicht in shop. Pity i had to sell the f4 before C AX came. there were two on ebay. one in bad shape of handle, the other without donut cap. clever man could construct. have leaflet by sigma.

i have a larger strange plastic 3dprinted aperture tube maybe its matching the 300/5.6. he added rubber-sunshades on both sides. i once mounted something there dont remember. have so many strange projects.
