Hi, I'm a Yashica novice, but I've recently inherited a Yashica-A and would love to start using it, but unfortunately the bracket meant to hold the flash has gone missing and the guts of the camera are exposed. While eventually I'd like to find a replacement part, I'm wondering in the meantime if it would suffice to cover it to keep out dust/make it light tight. Would a piece or two of duct tape suffice for the moment, or will I need something more involved? Any help would be appreciated.

First off, welcome to the Forum! Always nice to get more TLR enthusiasts. You could get a small piece of aluminum sheet cut to just a little bigger than the hole, and secure it with some black electrical tape. I was thinking the one on my donor 635 body might work, but it attaches differently. Not sure where you would source one, unless you can find a junk parts body somewhere. You could contact www.markhama.com/ to see if he has the part. He sometimes lists stuff on eBay under Lakesuwa. Good luck! PF
