I thought it might be fun to publish a comparative piccie of two very different members of the Samurai family: the Yashica X3.0 and the Kyocera 2100DG. Samurai - film vs digitalThe digital 2100DG is very compact by comparison with its illustrious forebear; even set against the Yashica Z or Z-L, it is small. Perhaps I should have used the X4.0 as the 2100DG has a similar 4x zoom whereas the X3.0 has only a 3x zoom but the effect would be the same. On a personal note, I do find the reduced size of the digital camera a little awkward for my hands as whenever I pick it up, I'm always accidentally hitting the on/off button which hardly helps with the battery life if you fail to spot this. But, like all the Samurai models, once they're in your hand for shooting, they're a pleasure to use. Unlike Yashica's Z-L or Z2-L models, there's no left-handed version of the digital Samurai.
