Here is something that is a Yashinon lens but sort of isn't as you can see... Yasinon (sic) 6.5mm f1.4 Cine lensIt is from the earliest days of Yashica when it was a brand of Yashima Optical Industries. You will have spotted that the lens is not called a Yashinon but a Yasinon. It's a D-mount lens and is a 6.5mm f1.4 type intended for use in 8mm movie cameras. Another D-mount Yashica lens is shown below - this time a 38mm f4 Yashinon. Yasinon 38mm f1.4 Eagle-eyed members here will have spotted that the lens correctly shows the new Yashinon name while the Yashima packaging still shows the earlier Yasinon branding. I suppose the new packaging was not yet ready...

Nice find - especially with boxes intact. These seem to be pretty rare as add-on lenses, and seem to be upgrades instead of original replacements or extending the range of installed lenses on the 8mm kits.
There are several brands of adapters for C/Y lenses to smaller cine mounts (both D and C), but I'm wondering if Yashica happened to produce any cine lenses for 16mm film use, as a C-Mount. A quick search wasn't fruitful, but I haven't yet done a deeper dive to see what else there might be.

Although I have come across quite a few D-mount Yashinon and Yashinon-V Zunow lenses I have never come across or heard of a Yashica C-mount lens.
I suppose it may be possible that Tomioka produced some, either under their own branding or on behalf of a third-party but I've not yet seen a Tominon or Tomioka C-Mount. Of course, that does not necessarily mean that they don't exist....
