I found this camera at the bottom of a box of Contax TLA360 flash guns and to be frank, I can't recall how I came by it. That's what tends to happen if you move home as much as I do. I suspect it was part of an auction lot as it's not the sort of camera I'd normally buy. Microtec Zoom 120However, I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the camera's construction and that 38-120mm zoom has a very useful range. It's AF seems to work very quickly - no hunting around so far, even with low contrast items. I like the Zoom 70 version of this series so if the longer range of this lens is as good as the one on the 70, I have high hopes of some decent photos.

All 3 versions of the Microtec zoom range side-by-side. Microtec zoom familyThere are further colour variations and there is at least one other Microtec camera but it's not part of the zoom range. They all have a good reputation for both image quality and ease of use.

Also available in the MicroElite flavour too! Here's one example.

Hi bobblehat , Nice, clean image. Do you know what the difference is, other than cosmetic, between the Microtec and MicroElite cameras?

Ooh! the image seems to have disappeared!
As far as I can see and have read, no difference at all! Kyocera seem to like model name changes .... maybe for different markets?

Ooh! the image seems to have disappeared! ... The image is visible again for me - at least within the forum. There's a known issue with a rogue BackBlaze account using the same server, and it has/had been blocked. It's in the cleanup/removal process now, so it should quickly be resolved. I've also issued a report to BackBlaze Compliance with additional details. Unfortunately this type of issue can't be prevented when using shared storage resources, but it can be resolved by the provider.

Thanks for the info Lumi .... I still can't see it, do I have to reload it, or will it reappear eventually?
I should have commented that the image came from one of several C/Y CD's I was given by Kyocera UK containing images to use for promotional purposes.

It should appear at some point without anything needing to be done. It's possible that a particular browser or a browser extension might still be blocking it for you, when I or others might be using something different, or without using the same extension(s)... I've already received a response, so they're working on the fix.
