I would also not mind to see a "vintage camera" forum, as I have a couple old pentax's and a Canon AE-1 I use sometimes!

I would like a vintage camera subforum as well. Thank you, Adrian, Mike, and Nick, for your prompt feedback! That leaves PF. But I guess it's all "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be cleaned, lubed, adjusted and repaired" with him... Michael

My granddaughter's GoPro served long and well but it finally bought the farm. I would really like to get her the YAC-401 for her birthday but when I went to www.yashica.com for in depth information I had second thoughts. The web site is worthless. It is definitely not worthy of the name Yashica. Where would I go to find factory support for this product? Has anyone on the board used this product? Can anyone send me a link for more information?

ridgeblue99, thank you very much for that information. I could not bring my self to buy the Yashica when it appears to be manufactured and supported (?) by the tooth fairy. But today, I ordered from B&H the SJCAM SJ4000 w/Wi-Fi. The manufacture (?) does at least have a web presence complete with a helpful users forum and if you spoke Chinese the possibility of support. Thanks again. I will be back to tell you about the SJ4000 after my granddaughter has had some time to use it.

My granddaughter has now taken the SJCAM SCUBA diving to 40 feet in the Turks and Caicos. It is not gods gift to cameras but it did a creditable job and at the price point it is a viable substitute for a GoPro. I am glad I bought it.

Glad it worked out, Mike. One doesn't need the latest and greatest to take good photos, but with electronic gear, it helps that it works as advertised.
